University of Alberta After Degree Nursing 2020

I didn't see a 2020 thread, thought I'd start one. I'll be finishing up my pre-requisites in April and hoping to hear back during the Summer. Has anyone been accepted? And if so, what was your AGPA? Thanks!

No, the status was updated to received a few weeks after I took the test.

Really?!! Oh man now I'm worried. Are you an in-province applicant? I emailed the school regarding this issue and they said

"Please also note that while CASPer test results may have been already sent to the University of Alberta's Registrar Office, due to the high volume of applications--and test results--being received, it will likely take more than 3 weeks for the receipt of your results to be entered into Bear Tracks. After you have completed the test, there is nothing more to do on your part, and no way to check on testing results or application progress beyond what you can see on your Bear Tracks account. "

I wrote my CASPer Jan 14 and it still hasn't been updated ?

I wouldn't worry! The document deadline is June 15, so if you still don't see it as received at the end of April, maybe that's the time to get anxious. Worst case scenario, you would still have time to re-take it at that point. Yes, I'm an in-province applicant. Are you also in AB?

Hey! I was just accepted to the program yesterday (Mar29). I applied back in october and took my CASPer in November. I believe my AGPA is 3.6 but I only have conditional acceptance because I'm finishing my last semester right now

Hello everyone

I applied last October to the after degree nursing program for fall 2020. I received an update at the end of March stating "You have not met the admission requirement, however, a final decision has not been made on your application, when new information is received regarding your application, your GPA will be re-evaluated". Though, I am taking all five (5) prerequisites courses at the U of A, MacEwan and Athabasca this semester.

Did anyone receive a similar response?

Hi there, I received a similar response and after going back and forth with the admissions office I was told that none of the courses that I took during the Winter term would be used to calculate my AGPA. I took courses at athabasca and grant macewan. From what I understand, they would still meet the prerequisite requirements though.

I guess we just have to remain hopeful, but it kinda sucks though considering the fact that all the winters courses which I have studied hard for will not count towards the AGPA
