Union University Accelerated BSN Students

Published

Hello Everyone,

I am interviewing in August for Union University Jackson Campus Accelerated Nursing Program. I will like to know from current or past students their opinion about the program. How does tuition work for the total hours you take in a single semester? How are the professors? How many hours do you spend a week on lecture and clinical? Where are the safe places to live in Jackson?

Thanks!

Yes, you have to pay the deposit if you are taking the prereqs at Union. I know the feeling I cant wait till this two weeks are up. I received that same email too. I have to take statistics and patho in the fall. I am taking both at TSU. I call the academic center and the registar said that the patho would transfer. Let stay updated!!!

Hey!

I received an email of acceptance to take pre-reqs at Union, too. The only thing I have left is Patho. Im glad to see that "Dosages" is now a classroom course and not self-taught. So, does this mean we do not get our official BSNA acceptance until after completing pre-reqs this fall?

Where did you see them offering the Dosages course at? Oh yeah I am from Memphis too but live in Nashville!!

Specializes in ER, education, mgmt.

As a Union grad- let me tell you Best Wishes!! I loved Union, felt it was a great nursing school and my class had 100% pass rate. But that was a hundred years ago...

hello guys i was accepted as an alternate.. 600 dollars is a lot for a deposit. How about you guys?

Hey, I received the email that I was accepted to take pre-requisites. The way the letter was worded I thought it said you are accepted pending successful completion of your pre-reqs...But, I received a letter today saying that I am an alternate. I replied to the email and paid the $200 deposit, but I thought that was for the program... Now I have to send an additional $600 to save my seat as an alternate?

what campus did you apply for? I didnt send in the two hundred dollars because I am taking the rest of the prereq's at another school.

I told them I would take either but Jackson was my first choice

The email does get your hopes up.lol..Me too I interviewed for the Jackson Campus but will take a spot at either campus. I am orginally from Memphis but live in Nashville. I wish you the best..I hope some spots open up..

Didn't go to nsg school @ Union but if you're looking for a place to live, try Cherry Grove Apartments. They're nice and located right behind Union.

I received my official letter today stating that I was accepted into the January cohort. However, it DOES ask for an additional $600 deposit by September 1st AFTER I just paid a $200 tuition deposit for Patho. How do people afford this stuff????

Thats great!. I still debating if I should pay 600 deposit to be placed on a waiting list. What campus are going to? I wish they inform people about the cost. That is rent money.lol

Thanks, Cookienay!
