Hi every1
I'm beginning nursing school this September, and I just found out that we are not required to wear white scrubs for clinicals or labs.
We can either wear business attire (no sneakers, jeans, midriff showing or sleeveless), or we can wear coloured scrubs of our choice (sneakers here are ok).
I am going to go for the scrubs as i assume business attire is more expensive. Why would i want to wash that every night after i have lab or clinicals, and reduce its life.
I'm going to get light pink, lilac and orange scrubs. im so happy, i thought id be stuck wearing white.
Also, do you girls wear any thing underneath. Im thinking of getting a few fitted 3/4 sleeved shirts, as the scrub sleeves are baggy, and im not too good at maintaining armpit hair. Dont want any1 catching a glance at it.
lol. it is an anonymous forum.

lol I hope you're a guy...If not, it's all good! I'm excited about my uniforms also. They are white but super cute. The scrub bottoms are low-waisted and draw string. The top is flattering too. Love it!
no i'm a girl. hence my concern
lol. im definitly going for a long-sleeved shirt underneath

LUCKY! Ours are white with ceil blue trim. Not horrible I guess but still not the most flattering. I'm planning on buying some fitted white undershirts and white underwear to wear underneath.
Oh well, won't have to wear them that long. It sounds silly but I can't wait to buy some cute, colorful scrubs.

I always wear a shirt underneath--and I think most of us umm, shaved a bit less as nursing school got more busy, LOL . . .
Besides most scrubs are a bit loose and I don't particularly like "sharing" what's under my top with every patient I need to lean over
That's great about your uniform.

I think ours are red scrub top w/black scrub pants...school colors. At least I don't have to worry about what to wear underneath white pants.

Ahh...I wish I could wear scrubs. It's a blue dress with a nursing cap, or a blue uniform shirt and pants with nursing cap.
Hi Jilaweez
Red and black sounds neat. i never even thought of mixing colours.
Aah..........the possibilities

Wow that is expensive. I paid $156 for 2 scrub tops, 2 scrub pants, a lab coat, a warm up jacket and 2 name tags. We had to buy from Meridys.

Man can I just say you guys are brats???
It was white white and more white for us and they aren't cute either! Not to mention they cost a small fortune! One more semester then I'm setting a bonfire!
