Uniform/Supply stores in Metro area

I'm looking for recs for a nursing supply and uniform store. I Googled of course, but can't find anything with a website. Anyone know of any in the area. I live in MD outside D.C. but don't mind traveling.

Also, anywhere I can try on Danskos would be great. I used to wear Danskos when I worked, but need a new white pair for school and clinicals. I had a baby and the pro style I have are uncomfortable; I'm thinking that I'd like to try a different style.

Don't know where you can try Danskos but ALKO has great deals on scrubs. I rarely pay more than $9.99 a piece and the sale stuff is like $6. Two locations in Balto. http://www.alkodistributorsinc.com/index.htm

There is a uniform store in downtown Baltimore. It is on Howard Street located right down the street from Maryland General Hospital. I'm not sure of the name of the store, but you may be able to google it.

I like the uniform shop in Rockville on Viers Mill Rd (Linn Uniforms) and I got my Danskos at Comfort One Shoes in Gaithersburg at the Rio but there are several locations of that store. If you look on the Dansko site you can locate a store that carries them. Just got mine today and I'm madly in love with them. :D

If you find a style of Dansko's that work, let me know. I too used to wear Pro's, but after having babies (and gaining some weight) I find that the top of my foot (arch) kills me after wearing them for long periods. I know Dansko has other styles, but I too, would like to try them first.

My clinicals won't begin until March, so I have some time to get suggestions from classmates too!

Frederick Uniforms http://www.frederickuniforms.com There is a location in Wintergreen Plaza, Rockville Pike, and in Frederick at Rt. 15 and Motter Ave. They carry normal brands but also have their own CHEAP (cost and quality) brand. They are perfect to get through nursing school. They also have cheep costing lab coats if you need. They carry basic supplies (steth, pen light, scissors, etc).

if you're into plain scrubs and are looking to buy them cheap, check out alko on ellicott city, route 40 and gallo on ritchie hwy . they carry printed ones too. just make sure to try them on before you buy them, sizes are irregular at times. whats 10-20 minutes of your time when you end up paying $9-10 for a top or bottom versus $20?
