UNG Fall 2021 BSN Cohort

Hi everyone. I wanted to make a thread for pre-nursing students applying to the Fall 2021 BSN program at the University of North Georgia. I would love to compare our stats and wait out the decision process together.

My stats  GPA:3.7 and HESI: 90.50

It has been a difficult wait. I’m thinking our acceptance letters will be later in March because of Covid. I hope that’s not the case but that’s what my advisor thinks. 

 I honestly try not to think of it and keep busy. It’s stressful to think of so I just try not to dwell on it. Either way it’s only one more month of waiting. We can make it....I think?

I just learned that there were nearly 300 applicants for this semester and figured I should share the news. Does anyone know how many people they accept for the traditional BSN path and how many for the accelerated path??

I know for traditional BSN only 50 get in per campus, so 100 total. Is that 300 for traditional BSN who applied?

not sure but it sounded like the 300 included both traditional and accelerated

I don't think UNG has an accelerated program? My understanding is that the nursing program is 2 years after pre-reqs have been fulfilled, regardless if you come as a post-bacch student or not.

I'm under the same impression, unless Gwyneth is referring to the RN to BSN program?

I'm a hopeful traditional BSN student. I don't know much about the other paths in all honesty. I just asked how many applicants they received for this semester and was told 300 so that could be just for traditional or maybe RN to BSN as well

Is anyone else getting more anxious as the days tick by??? Anytime I get a school email my heartdrops.

Any new update on when these letters will possibly be sent out? I know I've heard mid to end of march from a general advisor. Hoping has talked to the actual nursing admissions ?

I was told we should hear back during the 2nd or 3rd week of march, which is right now... so I'm going a little crazy as well.

My friend's nursing advisor told her that. So I could be wrong.
