UNG Fall 2021 BSN Cohort

Published

Hi everyone. I wanted to make a thread for pre-nursing students applying to the Fall 2021 BSN program at the University of North Georgia. I would love to compare our stats and wait out the decision process together.

My stats  GPA:3.7 and HESI: 90.50

Good Luck Everyone!

Just submitted my FALL 2021 application as well with no campus preference.

HESI score - 80

GPA- 3.93 (Finished all my science subjects)

I'm praying I get accepted, I have a pretty low HESI score compared to others.

I took the HESI this morning. I know I'm cutting it close to the deadline.

4.0 GPA

93 HESI

Requested Dahlonega

Took the HESI yesterday- got a 94%! Hooray! Planning on submitting the nursing application today!

Also StudentNurseMom, are you also a mom going back to school? I have a 13 month old daughter!

That is a great score!! congratulations! what is your GPA?

I am a mom. I have three daughters ages 3, 6, and 7. Having children and going to college is not easy but it will be worth it in the end.

I am so anxious to hear if we get in. Advisor said we will probably hear back in middle to end of march. so 6-12 weeks ?

My advisor said we should hear back middle of march/end of march.

I already have a degree, from a different school. So I'm not entirely sure how they have recalculated my GPA. I can't find that information online- on my UNG transcript, the GPA says something like "completed" not an actual numerical score. It should be somewhere between 3.5-3.7 I think. (My undergrad GPA was around 3.5, my masters was around 3.7, so IDK).

When you talked to you advisor, who did you talk to? The advisor that was assigned through the UNG portal? Or a specific nursing advisor (like the admissions people). I think I need to talk to somebody to have several of my questions answer (GPA being one of them), but I'm not entirely sure who the right person to call is.

Hmmm I’m not sure how they would calculate yours. I always meet with the nursing advisors. Alice from Gainesville is who I meet with last. I would suggest meeting with her. They have virtual appointments so it made it really easy to make an appointment day of.

Besides emailing the nursing program directly, is there a way to confirm that they received my HESI test score?

Hi everyone, I am sure we are all anxiously waiting to hear back from the fall 2021 BSN cohort decisions. I saw that some were sharing their stats and wanted to jump in so we can all compare. I am currently taking Microbiology and Anatomy & Physiology this Spring 2021. Good luck to everyone applying!!

GPA: 3.6

HESI: 91

Hey everyone! I’m jumping on to share my stats and appreciate everyone here with their feedback and support. A little background: I’m a post-bacc student who graduated with a business degree from UNG in 2017. My scores are decent and I’m hoping for the best.

GPA: 3.5

HESI: 87

Campus: Gainesville

Good luck everyone!

If you took the HESI through UNG they will receive it automatically.

Hi everyone! I am applying to the Dahlonega campus and wanted to share my stats! My GPA isn't the greatest so I am a little worried, but I'm really hoping my HESI score might help me out. Good luck to you all! Hope we all get in!

GPA: 3.46

HESI: 92

How is everyone keeping busy while waiting on acceptance letters? My FNP cousin called this "the long wait" and now I know why. It could be any day now, or we could be waiting until the end of March. Based off of some digging, I found that

In 2018, acceptance letters were sent on February 17.

In 2019, acceptance letters were sent on February 22.

In 2020, acceptance letters arrived on March 22.
