Hi everyone. I wanted to make a thread for pre-nursing students applying to the Fall 2021 BSN program at the University of North Georgia. I would love to compare our stats and wait out the decision process together.
My stats GPA:3.7 and HESI: 90.50
Good Luck Everyone!

I just got accepted into UNG earlier this month with plans of applying to the BSN program for fall 2021 as well. I'm transferring from lanier tech and have yet to take the HESI. Do you have any studying tips for the HESI? What study materials did you use? How long did you study for before taking the test? Also congrats on your HESI score that's awesome!
@Future_PedsNurse Hey! The content I used to study the HESI was mainly the Pocketprep app. It helped me study on the go. Also I searched the internet for every free practice test I could find. This reddit page helped. I took the HESI before and got a 89.5. I probably studied a full month before each. Btw there is no calculator on the test, not even on the screen. That took my by surprise because my first time I took the HESI there was a calculator on the screen. Good luck on your HESI exam! What is your GPA?

Hi guys!
I am planning to apply into UNG for Fall 2021 as well but I haven’t take the HESI. Can we just submit the BSN application first and take the HESI later?
@Heley01 Yes you can send in the application and take the HESI later. HESI needs to be completed by January 15th. The application is under the banner website. It's a very short application.

Hi everybody,
I'm about to take the HESI and for my fall 2021 application. I'm a little worried about the math section. From what I can tell, it is 50 questions that you are supposed to answer in around 50 minutes (plus or minus like 10-15 minutes). I know UNG stipulates no calculator. However, I have taken a few practice math sections and from various resources and frankly, there is no way to complete those questions in 50 minutes (I know how to do all the calculations fine.) Are the calculations on the exam much simpler than practice questions? I see people saying that the math is basic and simple/ easy but the timing is really getting to me. Any tips or advice? Thanks!

Any tips or advice for us that are getting ready to take the exam?
(Specifically the math section for me, if you check my comment)
Thanks!
Vocab and A&P were super quick sections, like 20 mins for each. The math was tedious. It was simple but long equations. It took me over an hour. The reading took me awhile as well. But like I said the other sections were very quick so you should have plenty of time for math.Good Luck! ?
Took the HESI yesterday- got a 94%! Hooray! Planning on submitting the nursing application today!
Also StudentNurseMom, are you also a mom going back to school? I have a 13 month old daughter!
What campus are you all applying for? Are there pros and cons between Dahlonega and Gainesville?

Hey everyone, I just sent in my BSN application today with a 3.46 GPA and a 96% on the HESI. My numbers are all over the place when you compare it to the average of 3.77 and 89.45%, but I am hoping that maybe my higher HESI might balance out my lower GPA (a girl can hope, LOL). I want to say good luck to everyone applying! I have to keep telling myself that this stress will all be worth it in the end ?
Congrats! I'm sure you're a strong candidate! Good luck!
