UNF Summer 2014 BSN hopefuls

Hi everyone!

With the deadline only a little over a month away, I figured we all need a place to stress, hope and worry! I just took my first stab at the TEAS and hit the average score of the past few years (335). I have a 3.9 GPA. One pre-req left. Applying for ABSN. I'm scheduled for a second TEAS attempt next month. How is everyone else doing? Drooling over stats as much as I am?? Any interview preparation plans?

Good luck everyone!! I have not heard anything from any of my other schools. I should be hearing from FSU around the time UNF gives us their decisions. I also applied to OHSU as a random application, but their program is 50k so it is not top choice. I'm also applying to Remington in Orlando and possibly GW in DC.

Has anyone started on the misc. required things yet? I know that would be kind of a be putting the cart before the horse, but do you think we'll have time to get it together after decisions are made?

I think there will be time. The physical and vaccinations can be done at once and sent in the same day, and BLS certs generally just take like a 4 hr chunk of time. I know how you feel about putting the cart before the horse. I have been driving myself crazy with the 2 grand we have to have on orientation... hopefully I can secure my grant before or I will be taking out a loan, which doesn't bother me as long as I have the money in time! I'm so excited, a week from tomorrow!

I am def going to be needing loans. I have started researching them. It's not going to be pretty, but it will be worth it.

I haven't started on that stuff yet, I figure another week and we'll know for sure! I'm sure they give you enough time but it definitely doesn't hurt to get your ducks in a row :) can't waiiiit!!! :)

I think The only vaccine that you need to start about 6 months in advance is the Hep B vaccine because it goes in different dose dates. Unless they just require you to start the process vs. be done with it.

Oh, that's great.. I'm in the 8:30 group also. Look forward to meeting you all then. And yes, very early day. I am flying in from New England Thursday so after a test run to the campus I will be getting to bed very early.
