UNF Summer 2014 BSN hopefuls

Hi everyone!

With the deadline only a little over a month away, I figured we all need a place to stress, hope and worry! I just took my first stab at the TEAS and hit the average score of the past few years (335). I have a 3.9 GPA. One pre-req left. Applying for ABSN. I'm scheduled for a second TEAS attempt next month. How is everyone else doing? Drooling over stats as much as I am?? Any interview preparation plans?

Mine is at 9:30 but I will probably get there around 8, so I may see you guys anyway! :) gluck everyone!!!!!!

I'm so excited!! I hope I get to meet you guys! I've been writing and reading my goals over and over again, reviewing my vision board and matching them up with why I love UNF so much. I hope it's enough. 8:30am is soooo early, but I'm so excited I'll probably be there at 7:30! lol Good luck everyone!

And WOW! flying from New England?? That's awesome!

Omigosh! So excited! I live 15 mins from the campus and I still booked a hotel for us lol! I told my mom I don't want to risk her running late to watch my LO. I figured if she's with us the night before in a hotel only a couple miles away we'll be covered. Free breakfast! LOL. That's how I got her ;)

Haha that's awesome! I love staying in comfy hotels:cat: sounds like a nice relaxing night before a nervous morning! I'm driving from Tallahassee tomorrow and having my mom take me in the morning for moral support lol.

I'm probably thinking too much into this, but do you think wearing a patterned blouse with a suit is okay.. I feel like I should find a collared button down to be safe? What's everyone wearing?!

I'm wearing a pant suit. Probably will go with a soft blue button down. It has pin stripes :) my suit is grey

I think you can pull off a patterned blouse. I have before! Whatever you still feel confident and professionally warm in - go with that!

If you would wear it to a job interview, it's likely OK for this interview. There was a wide variety of clothing at our interview. I personally would not want to stand WAY out, but if it's not a shirt someone will look at you and go WOAH or "remember that girl in the xyz shirt", you're fine!! There are going to be so many people there and it's going to be (VERY) organized chaos!!

I wish I was going to be there Friday to cheer you guys :) You will all do great! Just remember to be yourself, smile, and relax! Soak it all in!!! :geek:

Good luck friday you guys! Don't be nervous. It's really not that bad I promise. Just be yourself and let them know why you want to be a nurse. Something handy to have tucked away is a question to ask them at the end of the interview. They like to se that you are interested in the program as much as they are interested in you.

I think a patterned blouse would be okay, it would probably set off the outfit more! I am wearing a two piece suit with pencil skirt (grey), it is a little plain so I have a red blouse and red pumps for it... nothing too crazy. Your ideas sound perfect and I agree with helloonursh, whatever you feel confident in!
