UNF Summer 2014 BSN hopefuls

Hi everyone!

With the deadline only a little over a month away, I figured we all need a place to stress, hope and worry! I just took my first stab at the TEAS and hit the average score of the past few years (335). I have a 3.9 GPA. One pre-req left. Applying for ABSN. I'm scheduled for a second TEAS attempt next month. How is everyone else doing? Drooling over stats as much as I am?? Any interview preparation plans?

Lol, not stand out too much.... I'm wearing a white pant suit.... lol but it's the only professional thing I own. I did a test run to the campus this morning and met Beth!!! LOL and also a really nice student who got in last Fall, plus a girl who has my same time tomorrow at 11:30. I'm so excited i'm freaking out lol..

Hi all, almost time. My flight got in earlier today, so got to do a test run today from my hotel to the campus. So glad I did because the campus is HUGE! I think as long as you all look profession, it'll be fine whether you are in a full suit or sweater with skirt, or pants, etc. I think they understand that most of us are just finishing our pre-req's and limited on funds. I personally got a great deal on a skirt suit from Banana Republic in just plain black. I'll be there pretty early myself like 7. LOL! I'd rather plenty of time to sit in my car, drink some tea, and un-wind then to be late. Thankfully I heard back from another school I applied to a few days ago and got in, so as much as I want to get in UNF, takes a little bit of the pressure off. :) See some of you tomorrow... and for the others, good luck.

p.s. if any 8:30 time slot people are interested in grabbing a cup of coffee/tea afterwards to debrief on how the interview went... let me know. I'd be open for it. :) - Sara

I am so nervous! I am lucky I am on spring break this week so I just got to Jacksonville now from South Florida, there was rain and tornado warnings! I am wearing a dark navy suit and a blouse. I forgot my jewelry at home so I am going pretty plain. I can't stress how nervous and excited I am. Can't wait to meet everyone in the 11:30 group, GOOD LUCK to everyone! Based on everyone's nerves, you all really want it and deserve it!

I wish I could meet up after, but I'll have to get back to the hotel. But I will definitely be there bright and early!!

I feel like a weight has been lifted off my shoulders!!! I am very nervous playing the waiting game until next week, yikes!

Wow I really don't know. I think it could go either way with me.. I feel I answered genuinely and tried my best but who knows if I'm something they're looking for! How did everyone else's go?! Most of the questions they asked I felt really on point and it let them know why I want this!

Same here! What group were you in? I really felt like everyone did really great. One of the candidates had us in tears with her story!

Oh my! I was in group 4, everyone in there did very well too! It's going to be a tough decision deciding between all of the great candidates! I just hope the nerves didn't overshadow anything I said haha

I don't know what to think either, I think my nerves got the best of me because there was so much I wish I would have included about myself in retrospect! I pray that I put enough positive energy out there to outweigh my nerves and they really got a sense of how bad I want this!
