UNF Summer 2014 BSN hopefuls

Hi everyone!

With the deadline only a little over a month away, I figured we all need a place to stress, hope and worry! I just took my first stab at the TEAS and hit the average score of the past few years (335). I have a 3.9 GPA. One pre-req left. Applying for ABSN. I'm scheduled for a second TEAS attempt next month. How is everyone else doing? Drooling over stats as much as I am?? Any interview preparation plans?

Now...we wait! It looks like only 10 declined interview. I thought everyone looked sharp. Lots of suits!

I was in Hepx3, I was in your group so I know you did a great job. I am just glad that the interview portion is complete and decisions for most of my schools will be coming very soon. Looked at some area apartments today in case I do relocate. Again, good luck everyone... let's keep each other posted on here :)

Sunshinee, that's awesome you guys were in the same group! I wish I knew someone in my group. I didn't, but I was very impressed with the others in my group. They were all so sweet :)

I don't think anyone on the forum was in my group, but they all seemed wonderful and did exceptionally well... I hope they thought the same of me. I do know that I was so impressed by them and by everyone that was there today, and if I get in-- the thought that I will be spending the next 2 yrs with you guys makes me smile. Atmosphere can mean everything and everyone was so excited to be doing this, which makes me that much more exciting! smiling like a fool!

Coastie, me too!! The students we talked to seemed to really enjoy the program and it made me want it even more! I bet you did awesome! So hopeful for everyone here!

And sunshine, you did so well!! I would be extremely surprised if you don't get into the accelerated program! You were very well spoken and your background of social work looks awesome! If you got accepted would you want to go to UNF or the other school you got into? PS. thank you for your kind words:) I hope the interviewers thought so too!

I honestly gave it my all and didn't hold back anything. I think that could make a difference though because maybe I wasn't as clear as I should have been. I could think of one question I wanted to rephrase better but I think I talked my way through it after awhile. Some of the questions I was very short with and didn't elaborate but that's because I felt I was to the point and my answer was solid.

Thanks hepx3!!!. UNF is my first choice so would pursue their accelerated program for sure. I really got a great vibe by the present/future students and the faculty we interviewed with. Thankfully we will know very soon. I'll check my mywings every now and again, and post if I see a change in status so you all know to look.

I totally understand! I can be a bit chatty, especially when I'm excited and I hope it didn't hold against me. I really enjoyed the interview and I hope it came across that way instead of long-winded! It was like a conversation more so than an interview and I'm hoping that was the point and not just my take on it! lol. I guess we'll find out early next week?

I loved that they included the other students. It was really great to get their take on the program!

I talk a lot when I am nervous, I kind of feel like I was a chatty Kathy but maybe in a good way lol. I definitely don't want to be "overbearing" and I hope it came across as passionate instead :D I will be checking mywings all day Monday! I thought about all of you also :):)
