Hello everyone, I know this is a little early but wanted to start this because May 1st will be here before we know it! My prerequisite GPA will be 3.71 if I end up getting an A in Microbiology. I took the TEAS and got a 320 (first time) and I feel like both my GPA and TEAS are low. I will be taking the TEAS again because competitive is 335-345!! Please feel free to share your stats!!

I just received it an hour ago! thanks!

I’m not entirely sure but I remember them saying it’s going to be an informal workshop led by the students and no faculty should be there. They’re basically going to be giving tips and advice. They also recommended doing mock group interview if you’re currently a UNF student. I guess that’s something offered through like the career center. A lot of schools offer services like that so maybe if you can’t do the workshop, look into that to sharpen up your interview skill. Oh and you can look through previous years threads and see some questions they could potentially ask.

Are you a current UNF student? If yes, then you should participate in the mock interview offered. And hope to see you at the interview! We have the same time slot!

You are in a group of 4-5 people being interviewed by 3 interviewers. The questions are to get to know you and see how you interact with others.
Hi Jessica! Did the workshop help prepare you for the interview?
The workshop was very informative especially if you do not have much experience with interviews and being in a professional setting. I have been in the military for 8 years and I feel as though the resources we have prepare us for interviews and professional settings in general. If you get the opportunity I would go to the workshop. The SNA gives lots of helpful tips and pointers. Good luck with your interview! I promise interview day you may be nervous but the volunteers and interviewers really make it comfortable.
Hey y'all!
My name is Rebecca, and I am so excited how far we have all made it in the application process! I know this weekend is the interview workshop, but I will be out of the state. I was really looking forward to going to the workshop. If any of you end up going to the workshop, would you mind sharing information shared that stood out to you.
Good luck to everyone - fingers crossed. I look forward to meeting you all ?
Hey guys,
Currently in the APL program! I just went through this process so if anyone has any questions about the interview process or the program in general, feel free to ask!
Like others mentioned before, the interview is very informal and definitely just a way for the program to understand your personality & your passion for nursing.
Good luck!!!

Hi Rebecca. What I got from the workshop was make sure you know why you want to be a nurse. They want people there who want to be nurses and make sure your passion shows and it’s genuine. And answer the question that’s asked. I guess in the past people tend to ramble when they’re nervous and never get around to answering the actual question. We weren’t given any examples of questions or anything like that but that was the gist. At my table we basically asked our volunteer about the nursing program itself versus the interview. Maybe someone from another table might have gleaned some additional interview related tips. Overall everyone says it’s a very conversational interview and they’ll try to make you comfortable.
