Hello everyone! Congrats to everyone who got in, and if you didn't get in this time don't give up! I am a current APL student now and I applied 2 times before getting in! The nursing classes have mostly been online the past year but this fall the campus is opening up 100% so your classes will be in person in the fall. The good news is that for the Summer, they have perfected how online classes are held so I promise it's not that bad. I know you all probably have a ton of questions so please feel free to PM if if you want to ask. Congrats again and good luck!

Hello! I was accepted into the Summer APL. UNF did send out a message that Summer seasons A and C (through sometime in June) are strictly online. I assume this means for the nursing program as well. Everything is so unpredictable right now and I think we have all been forced to live day by day. It is not the ideal learning situation and of course I’m not thrilled. At the end of the day I am still thankful. It was my second time applying and I wish the best of luck to everyone! Stay well!

They recommend a blazer with nice pants, or a blazer with a skirt, but with pantyhose. If you go to the workshop they go over recommended attire in detail. Good luck!

Hello everyone! I am applying for UNF's summer 2020 program but I plan on applying to FSCJ for the fall if I don't get into UNF. I was wondering if anyone has any information on what the program schedule is typically like at FSCJ? (days/times) I can't find any specific information on their website. I know that it is full time during the day. Thanks!

I personally think your scores are good! I just looked back on past emails from when I applied in Fall 2019. It says that there were around 875 applications. I can't find any info with averages for TEAs and GPAs. So far, it seems like this summer there way less applicants, unless a lot of people apply now. I retook the TEAS for a third time (I scored 335) and got the exact same score! I studied hard in the area I scored the lowest in, but ended up scoring a little less in the other areas. Oh well! If you feel like you could do better, I say go for it! Good luck in getting invited to the interview!

I am taking the TEAS test on Thursday for a third time as well. Good luck on your test! This time around I have just been focused on the areas I didn't do as well in, I bought the TEAS Mastery app which works for me because I can practice questions wherever I am and it does a great job of explaining. I also have the ATI TEAS study manual. I am applying for the Summer term. Good luck!

I applied for Fall 2019 and made it to interviews, but got waitlisted. I applied with a 335 on the TEAS and my GPA is only 3.6. I retook a class to raise my GPA and will be retaking to TEAS, which was suggested by Dr. Beth Dibble, who is with admissions.

I got waitlisted too! Anyone know roughly how many get put on the waitlist?

I got my confirmation email from Beth today and an invitation to the workshop. Are non UNF students invited to go? I thought I read in an email it was for current students but it didn’t mention anything on the flyer.

I could not find a thread on this topic.... I am pursuing FSCJ and UNF for Fall 2019 but I am worried I will not get in to any of these schools. I scored well on the TEAS and HESI but I took most of my college courses 10 years ago when I didn't have the same mentality I have now and have quite a few B's, which is bringing my chances down. One option is to retake these courses but I am sure many of you feel the same way, in that you want to hurry up and get your education started to become a nurse! I am considering Keiser University, even though the cost of tuition is high, just so I can get started with my career. I am interested in hearing any thoughts on Keiser University for Nursing, ideally in Jacksonville but Florida in general. What is the schedule like? Was it rushed? Were the professors responsive to any questions/needs? I looked into Chamberlain as well but they require me to retake Anatomy since it was over 7 years ago. Thank you ahead of time for any responses!
