UNF Accelerated BSN 2021

Published

Hi all, I could not find a topic about this, so I went ahead and made one! If there is one already created, please feel free to link it below!

Is anyone having issues with College board sending their AP scores to UNF? I paid for the archived score report but for some reason it is not showing up as received on my UNF status page. ?

Also, has anyone taken the TEAS? how is it? I took the HESI but from others I've heard that the TEAS is quite different.

What did you do differently each round? I didn’t get in and will be applying again for fall. I’m so nervous now.

I'm sorry you didn't get in. It sucks((( I'm currently waiting for results from UF, they are delaying it, and if I don't get in, I will be applying to UNF too for fall. Do you know if there is another thread for the Fall cohort? And are you planning to retake TEAS or any science classes? Will be happy to be in touch!

Hey girly! I can’t retake any classes because we would need the grade before June 1st/: so I might try to retake the TEAS for a better score. My stats are- 85 TEAS, 3.59 prereq GPA I’m pretty bummed/: this Summer semester had been so competitive. I’m sure there will be a thread for the UNF fall cohort too! I’m not sure if it had been made yet.

Just checking, but Dr. Dibble said that most of the classes will be online right? Not much in person?

Anyone know? Trying to gauge how much time I have to figure out my living situation.

Hi! Not sure if you have already or not but we have an official facebook Group that Dr. Dibble helped us start https://www.facebook.com/groups/446737183198688

Also, not sure if you are in the Group Me chat but there was discussion earlier today that classes will be online with in-person clinical starting partway through Summer C. She did highly recommend we were in commutable distance when the program starts in May. More information should hopefully be coming out in the next week.

Hello everyone! Congrats to everyone who got in, and if you didn't get in this time don't give up! I am a current APL student now and I applied 2 times before getting in! The nursing classes have mostly been online the past year but this fall the campus is opening up 100% so your classes will be in person in the fall. The good news is that for the Summer, they have perfected how online classes are held so I promise it's not that bad.  I know you all probably have a ton of questions so please feel free to PM if if you want to ask. Congrats again and good luck!

Hey guys not sure if any of you care but I was denied for Summer and accepted into APL for fall!! I had a feeling I would get in this time around because I felt much more relaxed during the interview! IM SO EXCITED TO START! How has your first semester been going??

Congrats! Happy to hear you were accepted for Fall 2021! Which program did you get into? Overall, first semester has been pretty good. Very busy and a lot of self study since we are still online. It will be nice to be back on campus for Fall.

I got into the accelerated cohort!! I am soo excited and anxious getting ready for everything. I just got my books for the classes TODAY. (I ordered them off amazon, I hope that is okay. They did ALL come with unused access codes but not sure I can use them since I rented them ?) but I can’t wait! I just filled out an application to an apartment today and also bought my skills kit, compression socks, and a foldable clipboard for clinicals. I’m coming up to UNF the 19th to get my ID and order uniforms. So much to do! What would you say the hardest part is? Do you feel like you have made a lot on friends ?

Congrats! I got my books from Amazon and it was fine. Mine came with access codes as well which I was able to use. Everyone in our cohort is super friendly. I still haven't met all of them in person (they break us up into small groups for skills check-offs). But I look forward to seeing them more next semester. The most challenging part for me was adjusting to the workload - took me about 2 weeks to get used to the schedule and the amount of time I needed to study for each class. A lot of the classes have been self study which has been challenging. Hopefully that will change next semester being back on campus.
