UNF Accelerated BSN 2021

Published

Hi all, I could not find a topic about this, so I went ahead and made one! If there is one already created, please feel free to link it below!

Is anyone having issues with College board sending their AP scores to UNF? I paid for the archived score report but for some reason it is not showing up as received on my UNF status page. ?

Also, has anyone taken the TEAS? how is it? I took the HESI but from others I've heard that the TEAS is quite different.

Hi everyone! I stumbled on this page the morning of the interview. I was the 11 am time slot, group 8. I finally got in and am super excited to meet everyone! I would be very interested in a facebook group.

I also want to share some of my experience. This was my third time applying to the UNF ABSN program. I feel for everyone who was waitlisted or didn’t get in this round. The first time I was waitlisted and the second time I was denied. If I can give any advice it is to be persistent. It will happen, I wish everyone the best!

What did you do differently each round? I didn’t get in and will be applying again for fall. I’m so nervous now.

I am happy to share anything I can! My stats: TEAS 88, Overall GPA 3.2, Prereq GPA 3.8 (I think). The interview really matters!

I prepared a lot differently this round. I made a document listing all potential questions and made bullet points to give myself ideas on what I wanted to talk about. I practiced  a lot- with my husband, in the mirror, driving, etc. I also had my husband look up questions to ask me that I wasn’t prepared for. Also, always be prepared for the first question to throw you off. The other interview I had at UNF also had a surprising first question (What is a question you would ask a candidate if you were the interviewer). Also, just relax. Be confident in yourself and your answers. Don’t be worried about going first or last every time. I answered last nearly every time on this last interview.

Let me know if I can answer anything else for you!

Thank you! It was a tough interview. I really hope you get off the waitlist! UCF decisions came out yesterday, I’m sure spots will open up.

I’m gonna try to raise my TEAS score I have a 85 RN but I just think because my prereq GPA is 3.5 9 I need to raise that. I’m just nervous, I thought I would do so good in the interview but when the time came around I was soooo nervous I nearly fainted and didn’t answer that questions well.

It definitely was! I got into UCF, but have to let them know by the 16th my decision. Not too sure if I would hear anything back from the waitlist that soon. Little bummed as UNF was my top choice, but know God has a reason for everything and honestly I'm super happy I got in anywhere ? Best of luck to you this year!

That’s amazing, congratulations!! When I was waitlisted before Beth sent out updates for the people on the waitlist. She let us know a week after decisions were out that she was done calling people off the list to fill empty spots. She then gave us the decision if we wanted to remain on the waitlist or not. Super happy for you on UCF! Wishing you the best too!

The interview is such a big part of the overall score that practice is honestly what worked for me. My stats aren’t amazing, I just really focused on selling myself and being prepared for any question. Certainly use this interview as a learning experience and work on the things you want to improve on.

Should I go ahead and make a facebook group? Have you guys heard of any group already made?
