UNF Accelerated BSN 2021

Hey thanks for starting this!
I took my AP exams over 4 years ago and had to pay to get them sent as well from the archives. I’ve been seeing it takes about 2 months now with Covid but I don’t think we need them to apply (like by the deadline January 15th for Summer) unless you’re using them as prereqs. (I emailed to confirm this) I sent them the fax Tuesday before Thanksgiving and my card hasn’t even been charged yet.

I have taken the TEAS, but I haven’t taken the HESI so I’m not sure the difference but I’ve heard the TEAS is harder. I’m not sure how though because I’ve seen other threads that if you study for one you basically should be fine for the other.

Okay, thank you!! Yeah it's wild, the mailed check looks like it went through but my portal hasn't updated that they were received, nor have I received anything from college board. Thankfully I don't need them as pre-reqs, but I sent in the request at the end of October... so I'll probably give them a call.

Thanks for the info about TEAS ? I think I will pick up a review book or get one of those practice apps. I heard that TEAS is harder too, so hopefully the review book/app will help fill in the blanks.

When you took the TEAS, did you do it remotely? Or did you go to a test center?

Is anyone having issues with College board sending their AP scores to UNF? I paid for the archived score report but for some reason it is not showing up as received on my UNF status page. ?

Also, has anyone taken the TEAS? how is it? I took the HESI but from others I've heard that the TEAS is quite different.

Are you applying for Summer or fall ?

What helped me the most and advice I saw repeatedly was buying the practice tests from ATI. It’s kind of expensive but I thought it was worth it.

I took it remotely and didn’t have any problems with it.

Ahhh okay gotcha. Thanks! I am taking mine on Jan 9. I might try and take it sooner though to make sure the scores get there in time. We just send a PDF to the main advisor correct? Or do I need to pay for them to get sent to the school?

I can't remember. I'm taking it not-associated with the school so it won't autosend to UNF.

I am applying for the accelerated Summer program as well.

When I took mine I was able to look at my score as soon as I finished. And yes you simply download the report into a pdf and send an email so January 9th should not be a problem.

Hey guys! I also applied to UNF ABSN for Summer 2021! I’m not too confident though, and I want to get in so badly. Every year is different though so you never know. I’m glad they consider us for APL and RPL at the same time tho! It makes things a little less stressful. My scores are- overall GPA 3.6, prereq science GPA- 3.4, prereq non science 3.77 (all together 3.59) and I scored 339 on TEAS. I’m hoping for the best.

How did you get the score 339? After I took it I got a percent out of 100

It’s scored out of 400 points. I scored 84.75%- 339/400. I only took it once and barely had time to study, I also flew through the sections so fast because I was nervous. I wanted to take it again because I feel like I could definitely so better but didn’t really have time unless I take it this week.

I’m applying to Unf as well! TEAS 353/400 88.0%, pre req GPA 3.85, overall GPA 3.43. This is my back up program choice after USF, and UCF since I want to stay in or near my hometown Tampa. But I’m just hoping anyone of them accepts me at this point.
