2012 UNF Accelerated BSN Hopefuls

U.S.A. Florida

Hey Everyone-

I haven't seen a thread for the UNF 2012 Accelerated BSN yet so i figured I would create one. The previous classes seemed like they got a lot out of sharing with one another so hopeful we can do the same. Feel free to share any information you have, where you are in the application process or just any woes or worries. Let try to help each other along in this stressful process.

Later and good-luck,

Eric

They def have to have more than one interviewing room. I'm assuming the 8:30 time is the first....I don't know if that's better, worse, or if it doesn't really matter?
I highly doubt everyone is going to accept the interview, I don't think that everyone is going to accept the interview. It's 4-6 people per group, and I highly doubt the actual interview will last 90 min, it's prob bc you get there and talk to current students first

Oh I completely agree that some won't attend the interview-they've either changed their minds or have been accepted elsewhere. But even if there are only 100 of us (which I doubt it will be that low) there still has to be multiple rooms. But you are right, not everyone will show and I'm sure part of the 90 minutes is interacting with each other and information and such.

Me too! See you there!

My interview is at 11:30... all you early people try not to tire the panel out too bad, will you? ;)

Hello! I just found this great website! I have an interview at 8:30 and am soooooo nervous. I feel like I am a really genuine person in my endeavors, but I get so nervous and have a hard time putting cohesive thoughts together in a group setting. I hope it goes well!

Also, I've spoken with a few nurses that are recent grads from UNF and they all said to be yourself and be confident in your answers. They all also said to make sure you answer a question first, but not to answer first on all of them.

Good luck to everyone!

Hi everyone, I know I'm a bit late joining the discussion but congrats to everyone who got an interview! I'm scheduled for 10:30. As far as preparing I think it would benefit me to meet up with other interviewees and practice answering questions. If anyone else thinks this would help them as well shoot me a PM. I currently live in st Augustine and have a lot of time available for this sort of thing :)

Well I survived the interview, now the wait begins. I really hope I make the cut. After talking to the nursing students who were at UNF today, I really want to get into this program more than ever.

1. how do you handle annoying people?2. 3 words that describe you and why3. where do you see yourself in 5-10 years4 how do you deal with a fellow employee doing something dishonest5. what qualities are you looking for in our program?that wasn't bad but definitely a little stressful, how did everyone do?

I was a lot less nervous than I thought I was going to be. I was prepared for the questions but of course I could have been more prepared. Overall I thought I did well. Hopefully I have good news by Wednesday. Good luck to all of you!

Runswimfly: we're you in my group? I was a 10:30er group two. I obviously had the same questions as you and thought I fumbled a bit on one of the questions. Still, I was genuine and put myself out there so maybe theyll like what I was selling. ;-) best of luck to everyone!
