UNC Chapel Hill (Spring 2010) January 2010 - Anyone Receive Word?

Published

Just checking, I posted a response in a separate thread, but thought a new thread could hold its own.

I applied to UNC Chapel Hill's Nursing Program for January 2010. BSN Program, not ABSN. Already, I have received two confirmations from students that have received acceptance yesterday into the ABSN program.

1. Has anyone received word about their acceptance into either the ABSN or BSN program?

2. Has anyone received word regarding "no offer" of acceptance? And, if so, what are your plans going forward if you did not receive an offer.

I am obviously anxious and waiting for a response. Just checking to see if anyone else is in the same boat.

Thanks and good luck, everyone! :)

That's great to hear that I'm not the only one commuting! I may move next year, but for the time being, I want to stay in Raleigh, at least for a year.. maybe our last year I will find a place in CH. It's already November, and I don't even want to deal with packing/moving/finding a place to live in a month. The parking passes at my school are around $350 and it rises every year so as long as it is in that range, I hope I can get one! I am also going to sign up for Nov 30th pre-orientation session- I can't wait to meet everyone!!

If I get accepted, I will be coming from Cary everyday so I will have to deal with parking as well. Won't be looking forward to it but I also wouldn't want to move either.

Specializes in Neurology.

I figure it is not worth moving since we will have clinicals all over the area. I am pretty close to Wake Med and Rex.

Specializes in CT Surgery; Transplants; VAD Specialist.
[color=gray]i will be commuting from north raleigh. my sister is going to unc right now so i am going to ask her if commuters have a special lot, etc. i am going to the nov. 30 preorientation but i am wondering if i could get on a waiting list before then? hmm.... i am going to work on that next week.
if you hear anything about parking passes for this year, please let me know. from what i understand, the lottery for the 2009-2010 year is over. i did get in on a cap pass that allows me to park at the closer park-n-rides, but i imagine i'll still be using local transit. it's free, though. very nice. nonetheless, i would still be interested in a regular parking pass, even though the closest lot is still a bit of a walk (well, there may be one not terribly far from carrington hall).

by the way, i am requesting the november 30th orientation as well. we'll should try and touch base if you go on that date for sure. lots of meet & greets that night, too.

good point. do you know which hospitals are part of the pool?

Taz, if we are both accepted we should carpool if our schedule allows! (by the way, no word yet)

NYCGyrl-did your mail come yet today?

Yep! Nothing but bills and junk! :uhoh3: How about u?

no letter again! geesh. if i do get accepted i might be commuting from raleigh as well and would definitely consider carpooling

The mail just came and nothing....I'm calling on Monday. Are you guys going to call too? I'm in Apex and will drive there if they'll give me an answer!!

just got home and nothing here either. I think I will be calling them on Monday to see if they can tell me in person.

I called Friday and tried to explain that I had financial obligations to another school if I didnt get in yet didnt want to waste money if I was actually accepted to UNC. But she said she couldn't tell me and to wait for my letter. Let me know if they say they will tell you in person. Just my luck, I will make the trip out there in the morning and get the letter that afternoon!

My luck is the same way but atleast that way I would know.

I plan on calling them Monday to see if I can go in person. I'll keep everyone posted as to what they say.
