Getting close to that time! So I know I started this thread but I ended up getting accepted to Duke and the deadline to commit was a few months ago so I made the decision to commit to that program. Thankfully my veterans benefits are covering it otherwise I wouldn’t be going since it is SO dang expensive. Still, I’ll be looking forward to you guys sharing good news when decisions are released for UNC. Good luck guys!

I was accepted to Duke as well! I was possibly considering UNC-CH since it was my original first choice and the cost difference. I have benefits as well but GI Bill is running low from undergrad and my VR&E benefits remain in limbo with the VA it’s so stressful LOL. I attempted to apply for the extension but my app got denied because I have 6 months and 10 days left and you’re required to have less than 6 months hahaha

Congrats on the acceptance to Duke! Hopefully you get into UNC as well since it’s your first choice but I’m sure you’ll be fine. I’m using my VR&E benefits since the GI Bill wouldn’t cover Duke’s tuition. It took a minute to get my initial appointment with my counselor (I want to say about six weeks after completing the application) but once I had that first phone meeting with my counselor, the ball started rolling so keep trying that avenue as well.
Congrats to you as well!! I’m trying LOL trust me but I am still using my GI bill until December when I graduate so it’s a bit frustrating. Are you in Durham already? I’m in Charlotte. I have a counselor here and we’re working on the documentation but it’s been such a damn pain getting my providers to cooperate and get me the forms I need signed it’s so annoying. I have my second appointment this week I had to get approval to go into the career field before we could even move forward with anything so yeah. My fear is when they transfer me to a counselor in Durham that things are going to be all messed up and it’s going to mess things up with Duke. LOL the lack of time is stressing me out which is why just waiting to attend in the Summer might be the better option for me

Me too! They found out Oct 13 last year, so I was hoping we would too. I called but got their voicemail. ☹️
