I haven't received anything. I did have to accept the wait-list offer a second time through an online portal a few weeks back.

Did you both decline admission into Duke, I also got into Duke and waitlisted for UNC...it's almost worse than getting rejected.
I'm just wondering if you both are still considering Duke or not? I think I'm committing to Duke and crossing my fingers I get off the waitlist before classes start on 06Jan2020!
I have to give my 2-weeks notice this Monday and I hate myself for having to do it so close to Christmas, but I'm not passing this opportunity up! I am committed to nursing school even if I'm in debt for 10 years! ?

I paid the fee to hold my spot but I couldn't commit to paying that much for school. Im currently starting my local ADN program. Did you end up getting off the waitlist?

OMG I just got off the waitlist! So both of the orientation dates they gave me to choose from have passed, does anyone mind telling me what was went over during orientation?

Congrats! We went over A LOT of stuff. I would contact the SON and ask for a link to the Sakai website. All the orientation stuff is posted there as well as a recording of the orientation. We are going to register for class March 17th and create our CastleBranch sites around the same time. Looking ahead I would make sure you schedule your physical and make sure you are up to date on your shots. If you live locally I would ask to pick up an orientation packet.

@CatMommy101 Thank you! Just one more question, do you know if the cost of attendance for loan purposes is only certified to what is listed on the ABSN website? (Tuition, clinical fees, books, uniforms, etc.?) Because I would also need to take out living expenses like rent & food and such!

Oh my gosh congratulations! Did they say how they choose people off of the waitlist when they let you know that you were no longer on the waitlist?

@uncnurse2020 They didn't! I think they tried to call me but I didn't answer the unknown number, the email I got was just a normal acceptance letter.

Hey all! I was just admitted to the traditional BSN for Fall 2020 and I couldn't find a thread for that specific cohort. I was wondering if anyone knows where clinicals take place? Do we have to travel to Durham for them or do they all take place in Chapel Hill? I was also wondering if anyone knew if UNC is good about rewarding financial aid. Thank you!
