UNC ABSN Spring 2019

Nursing Students School Programs

Published

I figured I would start this thread for anyone else who is applying to the University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill's Accelerated Bachelor of Nursing program. Good luck everyone!

Best of luck as you finish your last prerequisite!

Hi guys! Starting to get a little nervous. Does anyone know the exact date the letters come out?

Hi bcdicke,

From the earlier post someone mentioned that we should hear from the school in 3 weeks time so hopefully by the end of october or 1st week of november. Keep your fingers crossed and pray it comes earlier because the wait is exhausting.

Hello everyone!

I called yesterday to ask, and they said that letters will be sent out next week! It's making me sooo nervous!

Anyway, do y'all mind sharing your stats?

Hi gcfo,

I received my bachlor's degree in English literature and biochemistry minor. Also, I have a master's degree in Public Administration. I worked in healthcare industry for 6+ years for profit and non for profit organizations. Then I decided to take a break from work due to some personal reasons and to raise a family. Later, I decided to change my career to nursing. My undergraduate GPA was 3.1 overall and 3.4 major, MPA gpa was 3.76. Currently, I am finishing up my prerequisite at waketech.

I hope the information I provided is helpful. Also, I am very anxious to see the letter and praying that I get accepted into the program.

Hi gcfo,

Thanks so much for sharing that info with us! Much appreciated!

I majored in Communications with a minor in Women's Studies, and graduated in 2013 with a 3.1 GPA. I worked in finance for a few years, then switched careers last year and began working and volunteering at a hospital. I think my pre-req GPA is about a 3.85 (I got mostly As and A-s). I've been waitlisted at a few schools so far and am really keeping my fingers crossed for UNC! Good luck to everyone!!

Just received my Acceptance Letter! Good Luck to everyone out there :)
