UMSON Fall 2018

I'm starting this thread in hopes of meeting other hopefuls for the Fall 2018 BSN program at University of Maryland School of Nursing. I've submitted my application, just waiting on my Official Transcript from Towson before I submit the supplemental papers for my application. I've also applied to Towson University. Feel free to share your stats as we all ride out the wait together. Good luck to everyone!

I got accepted to GW too! We are in the same boat, hopefully we hear back soon considering this program is way cheaper .

I had to give GW my decision by February 20, so I already turned them down. Which program did you guys apply to at GW?

Hopefully this is our week to hear back! I submitted pretty early (Jan 5), so I feel like I've been waiting forever haha.

Just called them because I HAD to know lol: She said admissions decisions will come out "end of this week and beginning of next week"!!!!

I prefaced my question with, "I'm so sorry for this question because I know you get it 100x a day, but......" haha

It's all during the week. Im currently looking at the fall 2018 semester and it's seems pretty manageable. Clinical will either be on Wednesday or Friday depending on which group you pick. IF I get accepted, I've already planned out my first semester lol. You can look at it as well, don't have to be an accepted student

I think I found the schedule that you're mentioning, but I don't really understand how to use this to plan our semester. Do we have to take extra classes on top of whatever group we select? How do you know what classes to pick? I like to plan things when I'm nervous, so thank you for any help!

Go to this website BSN | University of Maryland School of Nursing

click on the section that says plan of study, and it gives you the classes you need to take each semester.

The fact that almost 300 PEOPLE will be rejected/waitlisted is so scary.

Omg, 300 people! That's so scary to think about. Good luck everyone. ❤️ Hopefully we hear by the end of the week! Still checking SURFS twice a day anyway, lol.

That's scary, does that include baltimore or is that just shady grove?

Okay, I just realized that this thread isn't specific to shady grove so that number must include both campuses. But that means that each seat has like 2 to 3 applicants, that's not so bad!
