UMSON Fall 2018

I'm starting this thread in hopes of meeting other hopefuls for the Fall 2018 BSN program at University of Maryland School of Nursing. I've submitted my application, just waiting on my Official Transcript from Towson before I submit the supplemental papers for my application. I've also applied to Towson University. Feel free to share your stats as we all ride out the wait together. Good luck to everyone!

Has anyone found any thread or seen anything on the web regarding what the 1st semester is going to look like schedule wise? Like will we have clinicals on weekends? Will we have class M-F from 8am-4pm? Anything like that?

I'm pretty sure it's all during the week. I saw the schedule online from last year and it was different groups like group A,B,C,D etc. that all had the same classes together.

It's all during the week. Im currently looking at the fall 2018 semester and it's seems pretty manageable. Clinical will either be on Wednesday or Friday depending on which group you pick. IF I get accepted, I've already planned out my first semester lol. You can look at it as well, don't have to be an accepted student

They haven't posted the fall 2018 since they haven't started accepting ppl but I am looking at the spring 2018 as well and clinicals are on Wednesday and Friday depending on your choice.

Umm, I'm looking at it right now and registration starts April 1st. It says fall 2018 (view only) classes are from August 27th-December 21st. I have a SURFS account and I was able to search by term. I specifically selected Fall 2018. It's there, as well as Summer 2018. Someone from the office is the one who informed me I could search it on my own. It would have to be there regardless of new admissions because there are current students who have to register for fall as well .

how were you able to create an account on surfs before getting admitted? i tried looking for the schedules and classes but i could not find anything.

I'm not admitted yet, but I was able to sign up for a surfs account because I submitted my fafsa to UMD. I found the fall 2018 classes too.

Neither am I. I received an email a few months ago to set up an account. They made it clear in the email that it was NOT an acceptance letter. I'm not a student. I don't know why I was able to make an account

Ok, well I'll just wait to see if I get accepted or not before I start thinking about Registering classes.
