I'm starting this thread in hopes of meeting other hopefuls for the Fall 2018 BSN program at University of Maryland School of Nursing. I've submitted my application, just waiting on my Official Transcript from Towson before I submit the supplemental papers for my application. I've also applied to Towson University. Feel free to share your stats as we all ride out the wait together. Good luck to everyone!

Has anyone reviewed A&P yet or cracked any books? One of the seniors during orientation said that buying all the books would be a waste of money and not to buy books until you know what you'll actually need after the 1st week of school, so I'm gonna wait to buy books. I'm used to recording and transcribing lectures but I'm pretty sure that most of the classes are video recorded which is awesome. I'm excited about the GSS (guided study sessions). Not excited about having to learn massive amounts of info in short periods of time. Will anyone be working during the Fall, if so what will you be doing? Anyone else have kiddos (I have two under 3)? Feeling very excited and nervous about our 1st semester :)

Hi, I'm a hopeful UMSON Shady Grove student for Spring 2019. I'm so glad my application is done! This thread has been most helpful as I wait to take the next steps.

Does anyone have initial thoughts on the program at Shady Grove? As a hopeful, I'm just waiting for the next two months. Is it worth attempting to map out a course schedule? I am a mom of three and will be planning to start part-time. Any part-time students out there? Do you have thoughts on how you are making a part-time course load work, and how you're deciding on which classes to take?

I see the course schedule at USG's website and am wondering, are there added hours (i.e. clinicals) not found on that schedule that I should plan for?
