UMSON Fall 2016 BSN-DNP

Hello everyone!

As far as I can tell, no one has started a thread for the BSN-DNP program for this coming fall.

So to all my fellow applicants, is anyone else compulsively checking SURFS despite the fact that the deadline to submit applications was just last week? lol

Also, does anyone know if an interview is guaranteed if you meet the minimum requirements?

As many of the previous posters said, the interview panel made you feel relaxed. It was very conversational. They had many encouraging comments which made me feel that it went well but I cant be too sure. They told me they are still interviewing more applicants this week and they only have 12-15 spots open for psych. Decisions should be posted mid-February, cant wait to find out!

I'm likely the only person on this thread who hasn't been invited to an interview...(yet) :cry:

I called the admissions office yesterday and they said they are still accepting applications for all the specialties and still actively interviewing. Kind of sucks when I applied before the priority deadline and felt like I was a good applicant. UMSON alum, 3.48 GPA. CCRN. 4years ICU experience. 3 letters of recc- one from an APRN. AACN/GWAC member, shared governance chair on my unit. I guess they will continue to look at other applicants...

psychedRN- you said you weren't invited for an interview last year but you did get one this year... did you do anything different on your application? Jut trying to figure out what I could do to strengthen my application.

When I called, they said anyone interested in the CWO has to apply for it separately so I filled out the application today so hopefully that will help get my foot in the door for the next application cycle if I don't get in this time around.

I'm so excited for you all to be getting your calls/emails back about getting in! Hopefully one day I will be one of you!!! Good luck to all those still waiting!

I checked my status online and it said admit.WOOT WOOT!!!

Snowbunny, what program did you apply for? I thought I was doing well too... Still hoping to hear something, don't know when or if I should call to find out what's going on.

I applied to the BSN-DNP AGACNP. When I emailed them updating my license, Sheena Jackson said that final decisions will be made several weeks after interviewing. When I called the admissions office, they said I could still apply and that they accept applications on a rolling admissions basis. I was like thanks... But Ive already applied! So I think if you have already interviewed maybe just give it a few more days?
