Hello everyone!

As far as I can tell, no one has started a thread for the BSN-DNP program for this coming fall.

So to all my fellow applicants, is anyone else compulsively checking SURFS despite the fact that the deadline to submit applications was just last week? lol

Also, does anyone know if an interview is guaranteed if you meet the minimum requirements?

Well that's annoying...I was hoping to hear back before the holidays. I applied for Fall 2015 but wasn't accepted. I wonder how many people already applied for psych, since they only said FNP.

I really hope we hear back soon and you are able to get in. Seems like the psych program is so much smaller and more competitive. Do you have any certification in your current field? I hear that helps.

Yes I am psych board certified. My GPA from nursing school wasn't too pretty, so I think that's my biggest downfall.

Me too!! It was a nice surprise considering I wasn't expecting to hear anything back until after the holidays. Did you attend the interview last year?

I was surprised as well. It is a nice early Christmas gift. Lol. I was not invited for an interview last year but I heard the interview was not that bad. I will still be freaking out though. Which day did you pick? I picked the second date.

No, sorry. I think last year they roughly accepted 15 applicants for each specialty. So I don't know if the number will be the same this year.

When are your interviews and how were you contacted? Have your online statuses changed?

I was contacted by email and it is on Jan 15th. My status has not changed.

I was contacted by email as well. Referring to previous threads, this seems to be the only method used by the school to contact individuals for interviews. I was given two dates to choose from and I chose January 15th. My status did not change on SURFS.

Pychedrn3 - What time is your interview on the 15th? I have been scheduled for 1:30. Since the email states that we are to complete a writing assignment 30 minutes prior to our interview, do you think we are to arrive 30 minutes ahead of our scheduled interview time? Perhaps, our appointment time already accounts for the 30 minutes needed to complete the writing assignment? I was just curious how you interpreted the email.
