UMSON DNP FALL 2019

Published

Hi,

A few of us were commenting on the 2018 page, so, I thought I would create a Fall 2019 page. I am applying for the AG-ACNP/CNS program.

Admit-Institution appeared on my SURFS. I had applied for BSN-DNP at the Baltimore campus. Did not receive a call. Congrats so far to everyone with the status change.

Congrats@BSNRN12. What program and when did you interview.

Interview date 1/11/19 for FNP program.

Hi all! Did anyone who was admitted for the FNP DNP program get an email beforehand with information to set up your UMID account? I had my interview and am still waiting on a decision but I got that email so I was wondering if it was a good sign or not.

Specializes in SICU/Cardiothoracic Surgery ICU.

For Acute Care applicants, my application status and my friends application status both changed to "admit institution" this morning.

I have yet to receive an email or call or anything, but heard that SURFS is pretty reliable and official notification then follows.

After my interview, I was also told I would not hear back until end of February and possibly beginning of March - I think the program is just slow at this stuff.

Good Luck everyone!

@CodeRed5 when did you guys interview? I haven’t heard a thing and I sent my application in back in the beginning. It’s so frustrating.

I’ve also called many times and they just keep saying they’re still interviewing.

anybody else on here applying for acute care? What’s your status?

@teens89

I interviewed January 10th and my friend January 15th. I was invited for interview on January 3rd - and that was my first communication from them.

Have you checked your application status? Does it say "Committee Ready"? They mentioned during my interview there were more applicants this year than in years prior - I'm wondering if that's impacting their whole process.

From the people that I know who are currently in the program, the leadership of the ACNP-CNS program is with a temporary director at the moment and possibly a bit more disorganized than usual.

I had my interview for psych DNP today and I felt so so. Fingers crossed and hoping for the best. Good luck to everyone

Hi ocargo009, I had my interview too for psych DNP today @ 10:45am. Let's keep our fingers crossed. They told me there were 50 applicants, only 18 will be selected ?mmm.

Hi Chemiralins22, you were right after me. I had mine at 10 and I was told the same thing as well. Good luck to us and hope we both get in.

Hi, I am considering applying to FNP for fall 2020 start. For those who got in I was wondering what your stats are such as gpa and years of experience. Also, what plan of study are you planning on doing? 3, 4, or 5 year, and how many hours per week are you planning to work as an RN?

Thanks in advance!

@teens89 I'm right there with you! I finished my application in September. My application decision still says "Committee Ready" I applied for FNP. Getting annoyed.
