Did anybody apply for UMSON CNL Spring 2020?

@Betsy Burnett

Thanks for the reply and information. I actually was offered an interview yesterday (9/05) and will be doing that next week. Wish me luck!

Hi everyone,

I also applied after the priority deadline (tried to apply by August 1st but there was an issue with a grade not being published yet for the summer class I took).

I have an interview this week! Nervous and trying not to second guess the timed writing assignment- 30 mins went by so fast!

Good luck to both of you!! Yeah I definitely overthought my timed essay, I even asked my boyfriend to pick the prompt bc I couldn't ?

Thank you! Congratulations on being accepted @Betsy Burnett and deciding to attend! Guess that overthinking wasn't too much of a hindrance!

Thank you!! Lol yeah, I really didnt think I'd get in, and Im still waiting to hear back Hopkins but Im so excited to start!! CNL specialty seems like the better option

Hello everyone, checked the site today and was offered an admission. Good Luck to everyone!

CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!!!!

Just got my acceptance notification via email. Good luck everyone!?

I did the 30 minute writing assignment a few days ago. My guess would be they want to make sure you can think on your feet and of course write a basic college level essay. Introduction, thesis, evidence (3x), and support for evidence (3x). As long as you can do that I wouldn't worry too much about it. Just click ok, do your best, and submit.

I have an interview this week as well. Good luck! And congratulations to those who have already been accepted into the program!

Congratulations to those of you who were accepted! ? Good luck to everyone still waiting! I hope to see you all in the Spring.

I'm starting to stress about how to afford this program without racking up a lot of school loans. It doesn't seem like I'm qualified for any of the scholarships they have listed, unless I get one of the donor-funded scholarships. Anyone else in the same boat? Or have any recommendations?

@kelly.urban17 I imagine many of us are in the same boat in that regard. I will be getting loans for tuition minus any scholarships I may receive. Fortunately, I have been working full time since I graduated undergrad in 2016 so I have savings to cover my living expenses. Even with that I will have almost 100k in student loans by the time I graduate from this MSN program with undergrad loans included. It's a real bummer ?

Hang in there tho. It will be worth it and once you start working you'll be able to pay them off over time! My older sister is a nurse and had to do the same thing. Unfortunately, in America that is how our education system works.

Did anyone receive scholarship? If you did, where do you go to check?
