Hi, future nurses!!  Has anyone applied to the UMSON CNL program for Fall 2021?

I got an email from Mia Ellis titled UMSON MSN Admission at 1:15 ET

Hi everyone! I’m new here but I also was accepted on Friday.

My application was complete on October 30

Interview invite: Feb 10

Interview date: Feb 19

I also was accepted to Hopkins but I will be attending Maryland

Good morning!

I just had my interview for Maryland Friday. Went well. Hopefully I will her back soon.

I was accepted to Johns Hopkins! If I get into Maryland not sure which one I will choose. Received a nice size scholarship from Hopkins, so we will see.

I am currently trying to decide between Hopkins and Maryland. Do you mind sharing the reasons why you're choosing Maryland over Hopkins? I'm leaning more towards UMSON because of cost, but it's also really hard for me to give up my spot at Hopkins since it's such a great school.

Sure thing! I was in the same boat for a while bc I hadn’t heard from Maryland yet. I feel like I’m way more familiar with Maryland the school (I toured the school twice). I know a few people who have gone through the UMB program and have enjoyed their time there.

I applied to Hopkins on a whim not really expecting to get in but I really can’t justify the cost of attendance even with a scholarship. I like the fact that Maryland offers the CNL certification and feel like it’s kind of a 2 for 1 deal. Not sure if I want to pursue becoming an NP at this point but taking out less in loans by going to Maryland makes that more of a possibility I think.

hi everyone! im new to this thread but I applied to the program wayyy back in November and I interviewed on 2/19. I saw a couple people got accepted on Friday but I haven't heard anything back yet so I'm scared it means I didn't get in :( do y'all know anything about whether they release all their decisions for the 2/18-2/19 interview batch on the same day?

Hi! I’m in the same boat as you. I interviewed the 18th and haven’t heard anything. From previous years it seems they interview and admit in waves. But I’m not sure what that means for us, sadly. I’m keeping my hopes up because it’s only been 3 weeks since we interviewed and some people found out they got in after 3 weeks, so try to be patient. As hard as that is!

They’re on Spring break this week so not sure if more decisions will be sent out this week ?

I'm telling myself its not over until I get a rejection letter haha, but yes hopefully we hear back soon!
