UMSON BSN FALL 2017

I know the app isn't up yet but I was wondering if anyone was planning to apply.

My GPA is 3.59, science GPA is 3.33, TEAS 76% individual. I have some volunteer experience. I never work in medical field before. Currently taking Chemestry for this semester. Last semester my TEAS was very low. I think that is a reason.

I'm a partnership applicant and its such a sweet deal except for one catch (which makes most of us super nervous!) with being partnership we don't have to take the TEAs or get letters of reccomendation. We have to get all B's or above in science classes and no lower than a 3.0 on science classes. So for someone like me who has applied but is still taking one last science pre-req (microbiology) I know I have earned preliminary acceptance thus far but I HAVE TO earn a B in microbiology or else they apparently throw out our application. By not taking the TEAs and no letters of reccomendation, they can't roll us over to regular admission for review so our entire application would be denied. Or so they say. Suffice to say its a good deal in that we can know early but a lottt is riding on my microbiology grade!

I took microbiology last semester here at college park and got a B...if you work REALLY hard, you will definitely get at least a B!

Do you know if UMSON looks at grades as B-, B+, A-,etc? or just A, B, C..?

UMSON does not participate in the +/- system so its just A, B, C ect. which I think in a way is a good thing. I didn't like the +/- system. You could find more information about it in the new student handbook.

I looked through it last semester so I don't think they have changed it.

If you're a partnership student check your status!!!! Mine just changed to provisional admit!

Does anyone know how many people apply to the Baltimore campus? And how many get accepted out of that number?
