UMSON BSN FALL 2017

Published

I know the app isn't up yet but I was wondering if anyone was planning to apply.

Yes. They said around 400 people apply but they only take 100 applicants into Baltimore and 64 applicants into Shady Grove.

Does anyone know how many people apply to the Baltimore campus? And how many get accepted out of that number?

Do you know how many of the 100 accepted are already partnership students?

Sorry. No, they didn't say. But I hope it's not a lot

I don't know what you consider a lot, but I doubt it's too many. At least with Washington College and Mount St. Mary's, we have to take the course requirements for a Bio or Health Science major in addition to the pre-reqs. That can mean Organic chem, calculus, and 400 level biology classes. So not a ton of people actually make the cut, at least from my school.

On a slightly different note: NurseLaur or Grey Lady, since UMSON just does A, B, C, not A+/- etc, does that mean if you get a provisional admit you can still get a B- in one of your classes?

Wow, only 164 out of 400!

Oh gosh...now I'm really scared!!

 I am so scared !!

@LuluBelle to answer your question, yes we can get a B- in a science class. The condition is that we cannot receive a grade lower than a B- in any required science course and we have to have at least a 3.0 in our science classes. Getting all B-'s in the science classes will earn you lower than a 3.0 in those classes so although you are allowed to get a B-, in order to meet the gPA requirement you cannot have earned a B- in every science course

I meant in terms of keeping your seat when you get a provisional admit :) Sorry, I should have been clearer!

No worries! So I believe the conditions stay the same. Once you receive your provisional admit, I believe that you can still get a B- as long as you are still meeting the other requirements for the GPA

Hello Guys,

Good News: I GOT INN!! (Provisional-Admit)

I got my decision an hour ago, last time that I checked.

I can definitely relate to what you all are going through, but all I can say is, "DON'T GIVE UP!".

Also, If you guys want me to post any stats or have an questions I'll be more than willing to do so.

I hope for the Best!
