I know the app isn't up yet but I was wondering if anyone was planning to apply.
Hi everyone! I applied for fall 2017 in Baltimore and am committee ready. I have about a 3.4 GPA, 82 on my TEAS, and have a couple years of CNA/GNA experience. Was hoping someone could tell me my chances of being accepted and what the average student has?
Also, does anyone know when decisions will come out? UMSON is my number one choice so I hope to get accepted!!
Hm I'm not sure if it will be the same date or not. With the Guaranteed Pathway at UMCP I know they make their decisions for us early so they know how many guaranteed admission students there are. I applied to the Baltimore campus! What about you?
Yeah, at an open house they mentioned that they let the partnership students know early. I know for students at my school in the past it has been more like mid April, but this past spring semester's students found out pretty early (like early November, just about 2 months from the deadline) so I have my fingers crossed.
Definitely give an update when you find out!
I applied to Shady Grove. My advisor never said I couldn't, so hopefully it's not an issue.
Hi ManiBoi
I wi have taken 2 years of prereqs once this semester is over. Specifically for the Guaranteed Partnership Program (this is for guaranteed admission, where as with Traditional 2+2 you still have to submit a formal application and be accepted) 2+2 students take 2 years at College Park to complete their prereqs. You are allowed to talk up to one additional year (this is 3+2). However if for any reason you need more than 3 years, I believe you cannot qualify for Guaranteed Acceptance and it is recommended that you earn a bachelors at UMD before moving on. For the Traditional 2+2 (Not the Guaranteed Admission) I believe you are also restricted to taking up to 3 years of prereqs because at some point the University requires you to declare a major after taking a certain amount of classes. Does this answer your question? Let me know if you need me to clarify! Most 2+2 students take 2 years, a few take an extra semester/year and I know of at least one person that went to UMSON after only 3 semesters at UMD because they had a lot of AP credits.

Hello Guys,I attended the open house today at UMSON in Baltimore. They said that they're going to be releasing the decisions by mail during the first 2 weeks of April.
It's EXCITING and FRIGHTENING at the same time!!!
Hi, did they say if it was just for 2+2 applicants are everyone. In prior experiences, even though they send an email saying decisions will be released, they release them batches at a time.

Awesome! Thanks for the info. I am at one of the other partnership schools with a 3 + 2 dual degree program. I wonder if it's the same date for all partnership schools? Maybe I will send them an email. Which campus did you apply to?
