UMSON BSN FALL 2017

Published

I know the app isn't up yet but I was wondering if anyone was planning to apply.

Mine is Committee Ready. I have a 3.0 but I have great recommendations (academic and professional) and Advanced on my TEAS. I have some healthcare experience now so hopefully that helps me get in. I got into Marymount but really hoping I get into UMSON.

Fingers crossed and Best of luck to everyone. :)

Mine still says Complete and Ready for Review.. Im getting so nervous! Im in the same boat though, my GPA isn't super competitive but I did pretty well on the TEAS. I don't have any medical experience either, so I'm hoping that doesn't negatively effect me too much. Ahhh I just want to hear back already!:nailbiting:

From prior applications, a lot of people who got in were either high GPA and good recommendations or had a lot of health care experience. Thats why I started to get some. The first time I applied I was waitlisted and that was with only 1 year of volunteering experience.

That makes me feel a little better. Ive been in healthcare for 6 years now so maybe that will help

I never have health care experience, I wish I have a chance :(

Lulu Belle, I applied as a partnership student (2+2 UMCP/UMSON). I believe we are supposed to be receiving our preliminary acceptance around April 1st.

Nice. I should have done the 2+2 program when I was at UMDCP. Finished my Bachelor's instead. Good Luck. Hopefully I can hear in April too.

No way! That's awesome! I was thinking mid to late April! Was it your advisor that gave you the date? Mine has been very unhelpful throughout the whole process.

Hi guys, I was waitlisted for the spring 2017 and reapplied for fall. I did reapply with my old teas because I wasn't made aware that I was not pulled from the waitlist five days from the fall2017 deadline. I did however retake the teas on Friday last week but did not send my score in until yesterday, Monday, only to find out my application was reviewed that Friday and has been changed to committee ready. I'm praying to God I get in because my teas score was a 72% due to the 57% I got in reading and Graduated with my AA in gen studies with a GPA 3.53. My most current score which the committee did not review is a 79%. The admissions office told me that once the application has been reviewed any documents sent in will not be reviewed again. This makes me sad, but I'm still hoping for the best.

Hi REWMl, I got 76 percent on TEAS that I submitted with my application. I also retake the TEAS because of the very low score in Reading Section. I did not send my Updated Score because I think that they might not review it. I want to get in because UMSON only school I applied. If not I wish at least waitlist instead of flat rejection.

It's so unfortunate because I called the admissions office to ask whether to send in my new score and the lady told me that it does not hurt to do it if it will help me so I did. I'm just hoping that my gpa, work, and volunteer experiences will help me. i did apply to Marymount also so we will see what happens.

Yup!! My UMCP advisor emailed us a while back and said we should hear from UMSON no later than April 1st with our provisional acceptance. Once our final grades have been posted at the end of May, we will receive a phone call from UMSON with our official acceptance. Are you a 2+2 students? Where are you taking your pre-reqs now?
