UMD CNL FALL 2018

Hi guys! I know it's a little early... but just wanted to start a thread for those who are applying to the UMD CNL program for fall of 2018. I just submitted my application!

Ugh! Nothing on my end either. I know people have called, but I have yet to personally do so. Tomorrow will mark 3 weeks since my interview (and the rest of us who interviewed the second week of February), so I'm going to call later this week and see if they have any updates or additional information

I just went on my interview. So I am expecting the end of March.

Well we've heard that you can expect a decision 2-5 weeks after your interview due to the high number of applicants, which is a pretty big window of time. Here's to hoping we hear something sooner rather than later!!

It looks like last year applicants started hearing about acceptances around March 15-17ish so I'm thinking the first round of you all will hear back next week! Hang in there!

I called admissions today to see if there were any updates since today marks 3 weeks for those of us who interviewed the second week of February.

I asked when we could expect to hear a decision, and I was told "sometime in April." I clarified if that would be when we'd find out even if we interviewed in the middle of February, and she said yes.

Interesting.. So why are they telling us like 2 weeks

@ltaylor - That is INSANE! What is the point of rolling admissions if they aren't rolling. Mid-april is very late to send out decisions.

Yes, I agree. But we most be patient. There's no other choice unfortunately

@Aapage87 Totally agree! No use in being frustrated - I'll stop checking for now and resume in April! Good luck everyone interviewing!

Actually - I am curious. For those who have heard back from other programs - will they be okay with waiting until mid April to hear your decision?

@SNP22, I am not sure about that. My interviewer asked me if I have other application pending and I mentioned yes. She stated I will hear in two weeks which is the week of the 19th. My other application stated early March and looking at previous posts on allnurses they heard March 9th. So we shall see

Yeah... I'm very surprised about how long it is expected to take....maybe it will end up being sooner. If interviewers are saying it should be ~2 weeks/within March, maybe there is just some lack of communication between them and the admissions counselors and they're just saying that to be safe. I remember calling Hopkins, and the admissions counselors said decisions wouldn't be released until after January...and I was notified December 22. So maybe it's just to cover themselves if there is some unexpected hold up. I'm really not sure, but April is very late. I guess we'll find out sooner or later
