Honestly I'm not quite sure... The person to talk to is gray lady on this forum. She is one of the people that works at the shady grove campus. She has more info than me. Hopefully she joins in soon~

Hi, folks,

What I can tell you about the new admissions procedure which started this fall for spring 2010 admits is that it stems from a change in leadership and therefore a change in philosophy in the Office of Admissions. Many more faculty were brought in to serve on the Admissions Committee than in the past and the review process is much more intensive than it was. In essence, many more pairs of eyes - expert eyes, I might add - look at every detail in every application portfolio. While that lengthened the process, it is much more fair to the applicants. Add to that we were going through the accreditation process, which kept everyone VERY busy, and the poor spring applicants had to wait for a long time before they heard about their decision. Our experience from last semester, coupled with the fact that we passed through the accreditation with flying colors should make the process more timely this semester. Yeah, it goes from "Complete Ready for Review" to "Committee Ready" (where mine currently is) and finally "Admit-Institution" when you're accepted. Good luck to everyone!
