UMB 2010 Fall Applicants (BSN and CNL)

Published

Ok guys, this is the new thread for everyone who is applying to the UMB FALL 2010, BSN or CNL Program . Good luck to all.

Has everyone's status gone: Complete Ready for Review?

I believe there may be 300+ applicants for those fifty slots, especially in this economy!

Wow, I'm really getting anxious. Has anyone else submitted documents in the past few weeks, but their status still says, "requirements outstanding?" It is freaking me out, although I did call the office to confirm they had everything. Must be backlogged with all the last-minute documents they received. I would feel so much better if they changed my status!

i had to get ERI to send my NET scores again and that was on Jan. 19th. UMB posted that they got them on Jan 21th but they didnt updated until the 22th. then on jan 26th they changed it to

Complete Ready for Review

Committee Ready

Specializes in Emergency Department.

Yay! My status has been changed to Complete Ready for Review. Good luck everyone!

Is anyone taking pre-reqs this semester? Which ones?

Jamie,

Reading previous applicant's responses to getting accepted for the Fall 2009 class, we should hear something by mid to late March. I'm VERY excited!

just fyi, the spring2010 class didn't hear back until late nov. UMB initially told us that we'll hear back by nov 1st. so keep ur hopes up if u haven't heard anything by mid march. u can refer back to the "UMB 2010 spring applicants" thread, u'll see everyone freaking out around 15 page "ish". LoL~ UMB came up with a completely new system on how they accept new students in to thier program. another thing is CNL people hear first before BSN.

hope to see u guys in the fall~!oh and they r not joking about keeping a 3.0 (B in every class or better) GPA when u've gotten accepted w/ conditions. so don't slack off too much.

i don't know how many people applied to the shady grove campus during the spring but everyone that i personally knew from MC got accepted. btw, shady grove has about 50 BSN students.

Chul,

What's the difference in the way that they accept new students now? Have you heard about how many applicants they had for fall 2010?

They told us that they r taking a more in depth look at every app. I don't know how many apps were turned in.

Ok, Thanks Chul....

hi all,

I'm applying for RN to BSN program.

They told us that they r taking a more in depth look at every app. I don't know how many apps were turned in.

Out of curiosity, what does a "more in depth look" mean? Is that to say that they did not carefully evaluate each applicant in the past? That comment just seems a little strange. Would love some more elaboration...
