UMass Worcester- Graduate Entry

Published

Has anyone else applied to the UMass GEP program? Sounds like they are scheduling interviews next month.

I'm waiting for Adult. For those accepted, how long do you have until you commit or not?

I got into FNP. They said you have 15 days from when you receive your acceptance letter in the mail. Hope this is helpful!

Kroma8, do you know how much the deposit is? Cant find it on the website

Hey all! I'm a little late to the post but I just got the news last night that I got in to UMass! (Adult/Gero Primary Program)...Super Excited! I'm so happy that we didn't have to wait until Monday to hear, I also didn't see anything about the deposit amount. I already had to put a deposit down on the Northeastern Hybrid program just to hold a spot, but I really was hoping to get into this program. What are you guys thinking... are you still waiting to hear from anywhere else?

I was waitlisted for the adult-gero primary care. Congratulations to everyone who was accepted! I was accepted to Northeastern's on campus program and MGH's dual adult/women's health programs, so I am not doomed to wither on the waitlist vine. :)

whyohwhy: In case it helps, I was waitlisted with a 3.65 GPA in undergrad (English/Sociology double major), 3.7+ cumulative GPA including post-bacc courses, 4.0 pre-req and science GPAs. I work at a cancer research organization, but my only direct patient contact is as a volunteer. Quantitative GREs were middling but I was in the 97th percentile for verbal. No masters degree. ~5 years experience in clinical research.

I just called and they said the deposit is $650.00 this year. I got into Emory, and applied to Simmons for FNP but haven't heard yet. I think either way I'll be attending UMass. What about you??

Thanks for the deposit info HCE2014! I'm on the waitlist at MGH for FNP so that is throwing me for a loop...but I'm incredibly excited about UMass's program. I'm going to try to visit the campus on Monday (I had a Skype interview due to one of the many snowstorms in MA) and see if that solidifies things for me. I really like the subspecialty track options they offer (Cancer Care) and many other things about the program so it's looking good. We'll see :)

I flew to my interview from out of state and was absolutely amazed by the UMass facilities. I also love the sub-specialties. Hope you like your visit, it was really helpful for me! We should start a group for admitted students. Good luck to everyone still waiting!

I got rejected all together. Surprised I couldn't have gotten on a waitlist or something. How many applicants do you think they put on a waitlist?

I was placed on the wait list for the FNP program. UMASS is my first choice so I'm hoping to hear a call back :) Until then, it looks like I am stuck in limbo.

I was placed on the wait list for the FNP program too. Seems like there were quite a few of us wait listed :(
