UMass Medical School GEP DNP 2022

Nursing Students School Programs

Published

Hello all,

I was wondering if anyone else applied to the UMass Worcester GEP DNP program? Let’s discuss! Thanks ?

I applied! My application finally is complete as of last week. Any idea when we will hear back?

I applied too! I have everything submitted, but my residency validation is taking forever to come back as completed, which makes me incredibly nervous as the due date is so close. I submitted it the same day the supplemental material email was sent out on 11/18 too.

Which program is everyone applying to?

Also, from what Diane had said when I asked, they are reviewing everyone's applications after the 12/15 deadline.

I applied for FNP. I heard the decisions come back on the later side, around February. I’m just nervous that some decisions will come back earlier and deposits will be required before we hear back from all schools!

I know! I believe last year they reviewed applications on a rolling basis so some people found out before the final deadline for the application too. At least that's what it looks like in the last thread from 2020/2021.

Yes, I saw that. I hope so. UMass is my top, it’s supposed to be a great program. I talked to a few people in it now and they said it’s super challenging but they love it!!

Same here. I already live in MA so it would be easiest for me too. I actually work for the school in a different department and I've met several staff and students that speak highly of the program. I'm super hopeful! The waiting part is super nerve-racking though. ?

What area/field of study are you coming from? I've heard so many students come from a variety of backgrounds, which is pretty cool.

I work at UMass too, the hospital though! ? my undergrad is in Health Science, so not a big change for me! How about you?

Small world! I work for Commonwealth Medicine through the Medical School. My undergrad was in child development and my masters was in clinical social work. I've applied for the psych track.

I just got an email for an interview for next week, and it looks they are interviewing through the last week in January, so I assume decisions won't be until February.

I did too! The interviews go through February though. It looks like they filled up quickly. The earliest time when I looked was February 5th, so that's what I signed up for.

How are you preparing for the interview? I don't even know where to start...
