Transfer from Cali here :). Here's the source for the placement exam, look under the bold "Important Information for Transfer Students-Placement Testing" Transfer Student Orientation - University of Massachusetts Boston

Looks like all of us will need to complete it before orientation.

I'm a transfer student too. After reading about the Math placement test, I believe that students who are transferring college level math courses don't have to take it (e.g., Statistics)

I think what I heard from a previous student was about "clinical calculations competency" exams and you have two tries to pass with 100%.

If you dont pass, you cannot enter the clinical portion and often not continue the program.

I thought this student said it was early on that this test occurred but maybe thats incorrect.

I do have a friend in a community college program and last year in the first week of classes, they were issued a similar type if exam.

Impromptu math exams make me nervous!
