I'm a transfer student too. After reading about the Math placement test, I believe that students who are transferring college level math courses don't have to take it (e.g., Statistics)

If you're asking me, then yes. Big white envelope that contained the letter, new student book, immunization form, and info about deposit and orientation. Did you get in?

I received my letter today (3/10/14) and got accepted. Congrats to those who get in and see you at school!

My Status has changed to a decision has been made and will receive a letter within 14 days. My major is still nursing B.S so hopefully I get good news. I may see some of you ladies this fall!

Hello. I'm currently working on my prerequsites and plan to apply to nursing program in fall 2014. Now, my ultimate goal is to get my BSN. I have to decide whether to stay at my CC and complete their A.S program or apply to an university and go straight for my BSN. The pros of staying at my CC is price, and less prerequisites to complete. On the downside, some classss may not transfer so I may end up wasting time and money on useless classes anyway. Any tips? Advice? Thanks.

I appreciate your opinions. I'm currently leaning towards part time work because I want to do well in my classes, not just make the grade. I have no kids, and little financial obligations.

Hello everyone. I'm a 23 year old male currently working on completing my prerequisites in order to apply to my local community college's AS nursing program. I work full time, and take 3 classes per semester. Once I get accepted into the nursing program I must make a decision on whether to keep working full time or go part time so I can focus on my studies more. I don't want to be in community college for 4-5 years. I want to transfer into a university and get my BSN asap. Then, work on my masters if possible.I am looking for opinions about my situation. Taking into consideration work load, school costs, cost of living, etc.

This question just dawned on me. Now, I don't expect nor want special treatment, but I was wondering if colleges look at gender when deciding who gets through into the nursing program.I have no idea if anyone knows, but I thought it was a good topic for conversation. Thanks!

This is the first time I post here, but I had to give my own opinion. Having been toying with the idea for the last year or so about pursuing a career in nursing, I believe the main factors driving my decision ( in no particular order) are job security, decent pay, critical thinking, technology, and a desire to do something meaningful in life like care for others. This fall I will begin to work on my prerequisites to be accepted into my local community college's Nursing Program, and I couldn't be more motivated. I will make this happen no matter how much work I need to put in. Oh, and I'm a 23 year old male.
