Application due date is February 1. Anyone else working on this?
I just attended the info session on Tuesday the 11th (right before the big snow storm!), which was somewhat helpful, though the speaker seemed to be trying to discourage some people from applying. I think she just wanted to emphasize that they don't even look at applications if you haven't got all your prereqs completed, and that you'll be so busy you can't even think about having a job at the same time... She put a big emphasis on seeking 'diversity' in their student cohort, and I think it made a bunch of people wonder just what she meant by that.
One thing I've been wondering about is including a resume or CV with the application. They don't list one as needed or even optional, so I was wondering if including one could in any way hurt or help my application.
I hope someone else out there is going through the same thing and would be willing to post about their experiences.
Thanks! I haven't applied to any other programs (this was my first choice and I was waiting to hear back before thinking about applying anywhere else), so I'm pretty much certain I'll be accepting their admissions offer. How about you?
Gee, there's a lot to plan and take care of before school starts!
hey rloh961 and Jesses.. If you check the umass website in your application status... does it say that you have been accepted or " A decision has been made regarding you application. You will receive formal notice in the mail within 14 business days. Thank you for your interest in attending the University of Massachusetts Boston."
Hi Mama,
My application status said " A decision has been made regarding you application. You will receive formal notice in the mail within 14 business days. Thank you for your interest in attending the University of Massachusetts Boston." Hopefully you'll get your letter today!
Best of luck, and keep us posted!
Yeah, my application status says the same as yours.
I do hope you a big white envelope today -- got my fingers crossed for you! Since you got interviewed, your chances of acceptance are good. I think they were planning on waitlisting anyone they interviewed but didn't accept, and since some of those they interviewed might go somewhere else, people may likely enter the program off the waitlist.
At any rate, good luck!
