Hello there!
Im a 1 year post qualified RN in Scotland working in orthopaedic trauma at present and I've got an application for a fiance visa in so im hoping to move to the USA in the hopefully near future, regardless of having a job or not.
Ive been studying for the nclex but i have a question - if i move before i can pass the exam, how much time will i have before I'm not eligible to sit it?
Thanks in advance.

Hi -
Not to be a killjoy but it is VERY hard (if not impossible) to get work in your situation. There are a bunch of hoops to get through, and buy the time you get your work permit your 90 day K-1 visa will be close to expired.
Check these out:

Hi thank you for the reply. I will be applying for my work permit alongside my adjustment of status so I understand that i wont be working for the first while. My question is more focussed on whether there is a time limit on how long after you finish practicing you can still sit your nclex? If i was like 6 months down the road in the usa would i still be able to sit?
Thanks

What state are you planning on moving to? Have you met the education requirements equivalent to US trained nurse (Maternity, Peds, Mental Health, etc)?
