UIW/UTHSCSA Spring 2020

Hi there! I haven’t seen a thread for this upcoming Spring 2020 (that includes UIW) so I decided to create one!

has anyone heard anything??

aside from receiving an email to be fingerprinted from UIW, I haven’t heard anything else.

has anybody heard any other news????

I have paid everything. I'll call, thank you.

What website did ya'll use to pay the $250 fee? I copied the one in my acceptance letter and it isn't working ?

I had to retype it. It's 18, not I8

I called and no answer ? I read that we need blood borne pathogen coverage/needle stick insurance. I’m probably jumping the gun here, but I just want to get everything done lol ? I wonder if this is an insurance we buy through UIW

That is what I was wondering too. What if I just want to buy theirs to make things easier ?? Can it just be any health insurance?

my own insurance doesn’t cover it and I work in the veterinary field. granted cats and dogs are different species from us, but I work with needles every day

I don’t think all insurances offer it. I hope the school does because it’s probably cheaper than private insurance

per Eunice, we will receive information about the insurance at orientation. so even though our letter reads to have everything done prior to december, that’s the only thing we can have missing

If this is the course that you need, which first aid class do you need? I thought the hybrid class would be alright, but now I'm confused.

as long as it’s labeled for professional rescuers or health care providers. Idk if they offer that with first aid. well actually... they might
