Okay so i am applying to the BSN program at UIC 2015. I am so worried because i have no idea what to expect. It is one of the top nursing schools in the country. I am literally freaking out because i am competing for one of the 90 spots. My Cum GPA is 3.89 and science GPA is 4.0 and I graduated out of high school a year early (at the age 16). i am currently 18 years old. I finished most of my pre-reqs at a community college because its cheaper, I also finished my essay questions but i am worried that its not good enough. I volunteer at my local hospital for over a few months and i know that nursing is what I want to do.
Can someone please tell me if I have a good chance of getting in? Getting into UIC is my dream goal. Is my GPA good? Is there anything that i can do to improve my chances of getting in?
I talked to them this morning and we'll be hearing either today or tomorrow, they've started sending them out already! I'm new to this page but found your conversation and wanted to join! I also applied for the nursing program and had my interview in February! They said we'll hear by tomorrow night! So exciting and nerve racking! Is UIC everyone's first choice or are other schools your first choice? (: glad I found this page!
To my understanding (my friend got admitted last year) we get an email and then they send out admissions packets that we get within 2-3 weeks but the email and online status on your applications are the two ways to know you got in, and then in a couple weeks you receive an admissions packet with info
Just called them again because that confused me, he said denials went out in the mail, accepted or wait listed students will hear by 6pm today via email they might be behind and send some out tomorrow but wait listed or accepted students should hear before tonight... Denials got mail. Did your friend who got it in the mail also have an interview?

Thanks for answering, sorry to your friend): he said if you got a denial it was sent out and you should receive it this week, if you're accepted or wait listed you'll find out today and tomorrow at the latest.
