UIC Fall 2020 BSN Program

Published

Hi! I just wanted to create a forum for those who, like me, are anxious in finding out the admission decisions. Most likely we will know our admission decisions by mid-April, so April 15th according to UIC College of nursing representatives.

I'm leaving the option of all three campuses open for me. I would love Chicago, but am open to the other colleges. I have a 3.4 GPA, but no clinical experience. I knew it was a gamble, so if I don't get in, that's my focus over the next few months before reapplying.

Let me know if/when you hear anything back!

can I ask u all: why is uic number one for you? why not apply to other programs and if uic doesnt admit you, perhaps attend other programs? I've noticed so many people choose to just reapply to uic and delay a whole year

I applied to other programs as well, I have one more school I’m waiting to hear back from. UIC is great but I’m going to The program the program that offers me acceptance. I want to avoid waiting another year if possible

I was waitlisted too....but I choose Chicago and Springfield campus....I have been admitted to Springfield campus. Who else is admitted to Springfield?

I know this is an old form, but if you feel comfortable will you being willing to say what was your GPA, extracurricular activities, and if you got accepted/denied/waitlist? I'm just trying to figure my chances. ? Reading that people with a 4.0 GPA get denied scares me.

I know this is an old thread,  but im applying for UIC BSN for the fall of 2021. Any advice or questions that you were asked during your interview? just a fellow transfer student looking forward to getting accepted!

It really doesn't matter what your GPA is, I think  they chose randomly as long as you qualify. Good luck

Do you know what questions were asked during the interview process?

Questions like why do you want to be a nurse, what have you done that ever makes you feel like a good person.  If you are not a nurse what else would you like to be.
