Hi! I just wanted to create a forum for those who, like me, are anxious in finding out the admission decisions. Most likely we will know our admission decisions by mid-April, so April 15th according to UIC College of nursing representatives.

Hey! I'm so nervous about hearing back from admission too! Do you want to share how was your GPA and activities when you apply? I'm kinda worried about my grades since it's so competitive?

What is your GPA and activities?

Hey! I also applied for UIC’s BSN program and found out today about getting waitlisted. I’m wondering if anyone else on here is in the same boat? Super worried about it..

Sorry, I just saw this. My GPA is 3.9 and I got a bunch of volunteer activities. I found out I got accepted today!

Yes, I am waitlisted myself. I'm concerned about it as well, but trying not to stress too much. My application has been submitted so hopefully things work in my favor. Where else did you apply?

UIC is the only place I applied so hoping for the best. Where else did you apply. Unsure if I should select all three campus’s when filing out the waitlist form. What are you going to do?

What people do not realize is UIC is the #20th best program in the US, and arguably the best in Illinois (It's UIC vs Illinois Wesleyan Uni). Therefore, GPA is not everything. It's almost as if you have not worked in the hospital or have not volunteered in the hospital, then you have a great chance of getting waitlisted or rejected.

Many of my friends with 4.0s have gotten waitlisted or rejected due to a lack of clinical experience.

Yes- totally agree with you. I have 3 years of clinical experience so hopefully it all works out.

what was your GPA if u dont mind me asking

3.3. I was accepted last year but had to decline my offer due to personal issues at the time but decided to reapply this year

I'm leaving the option of all three campuses open for me. I would love Chicago, but am open to the other colleges. I have a 3.4 GPA, but no clinical experience. I knew it was a gamble, so if I don't get in, that's my focus over the next few months before reapplying.
