I heard from a guy at work today his friend got a rejection letter from Manoa yesterday (Thursday)...but he didn't know any info about his application like his GPA, NET or anything...so, I guess they are slowly but surely starting to send out info regarding the upcoming semester...Good luck everyone, the wait is almost over! It's driving me nuts!
I guess we can't escape halawa. Which one of these choices would you recommend?
you guys are actually pretty lucky to all be going to halawa. halawa gives you the best clinical experience b/c you have healthy patients that are willing to let you perform a full physical exam. At the LTC facilites you often get patients that are difficult to interview or unable to perform parts of they physical exam. some of my classmates even had patients that just walked out part way through the exam. your final exam for 330L is performing a full interview and physical exam in 1 hour while being observed by your instructor. it is very difficult to complete everything if you have not had the opportunity to practice this. the patients we had at halawa were all very friendly and cooperative.

don't wanna jinx anything, but if you're lookin for something to do you could start getting your health clearance done. one less thing to worry about when finals are coming up. depending on your health insurance, getting your physical and bloodwork/immunizations can be kinda time consuming. plus the sooner you get cleared the sooner you can register, which means you get first pick of clinical sites. here's the tentative options for fall 2009 1st semester clinicals (330L)

the last one is for ADN>BSN students only though. makes sense that they're separating them from the regular BSN students.
