I would probably keep woking, but apply for the next semester. I have A's in all my courses, so re-taking them would be pointless...I guess I could bring up my NET score...but otherwise, I would work a bit longer save up a bit more money and do this whole awful waiting thing all over again....
hey guysI heard that the school has picked all the students that they're going accept. It just needs to be finalized with the admission people or something.
I'm guess we'll know sometime next week! :]
Yes, the admissions department had sent out their rejection letters. However, everything is currently on hold because of the major budget cuts in the whole University of Hawaii at Manoa itself and "possible" large percentage (42%) budget cut within the school of nursing. If there are no budget cuts, then more people would be admitted. If there are budget cuts then more would be able to be admitted. It is all because of the bad economy and the various budget cuts of University of Hawaii.

when your counselor said "Finalizing with the admission people," did he mean:
1. they're still deciding how many students they're accepting taking into account their "budget cut"?
2. or putting all the acceptance packets together and ready to send out?
I hope the School of Nursing was not affected so much by the budget cut and they have decided to accept all the people they have not denied!
I'm so anxious.... I hope I get in. Let's introduce ourselves to each other on the day of orientation (that's if all these people applying for Fall 09 gets in). just kidding!
I think he means that they just need to look over everyone records to make sure they don't have outstanding fees and whatnot.
If the school of nursing has too cut down on the number of people it accepts because of budget cuts, i'm sure the admission panel would've been informed of the restrictions before they started accepting people. I dunno, this make more logical sense to me than accepting people then having to reject some. But I guess we'll never know!
ah i'm nervous too, I check this board like every hour to see if anyone got notified. lol

I heard from a guy at work today his friend got a rejection letter from Manoa yesterday (Thursday)...but he didn't know any info about his application like his GPA, NET or anything...so, I guess they are slowly but surely starting to send out info regarding the upcoming semester...Good luck everyone, the wait is almost over! It's driving me nuts!
