Hi,
I’m applying to the GEPN program at Yale School. I have a Master’s degree in science from the United States. My GPA is very high, but my concern is Toefl. I don’t know if I have to take it or not. I have considered amount of work experience in health care field for four years too. I don’t have time to prepare myself to the Toefl test and I’m kind of worried about the score that they want. Is there anything like a conditional acceptance?
Good luck everyone!
Just turned in my application for the FNP program! This is my second time applying so I hope the decision is much different than the previous one. Looking at previous cohorts' postings, the first wave of decisions should be around late October. Last year being October 26, so around that time :)
screw that program. it's lame. i think the only program worth attending at UH is their law school and the agriculture programs.
i attended the ABSN program at UC Davis and the DNP at USC. You should try for the programs there if you are able. I can guarantee you'll get a top notch education if you're smart enough to hack it.

Hello,
I know it's fairly early, but I was wondering if there are any other applicants that are applying to UH Manoa's GEPN program for Fall 2020. If so, what track are you applying for and what are your stats? This would be my third time applying for the DNP (currently indecisive and thinking of applying for the APHN program instead), so I am hoping that I have worked towards becoming a more competitive applicant. I frequent these threads every application cycle, so I'm hoping by sharing my stats others will be a little less anxious.
Here are my stats - I have earned a Bachelors of Science in Public Health and have some experience working in a community health care facility focusing on the nutrition of women and children. I have also taken a CNA course, but I am not CNA certified. I am also a graduate student studying for my MPH with a current GPA of a 4.0 and I am also enrolling in a course to become a labor & post-partum doula.
Best of luck to everyone!
