Just had my DM student here with a deactivated pump. Of course it was alarming and we were working on fixing it. The student is a little self-conscious about the sound and hates creating self-attention, so the teacher that burst through the door loudly exclaiming, "WHAT IS THAT SOUND? YOUR PUMP SOUNDS LIKE THAT?!?!" definitely did not help the situation at all. UGH.

This is in the same category as the teacher saying "Oh, you poor thing! You look so sick. Your head is warm, I bet you have a fever. Poor guy, you need to go home!"
ummm...NO! this child is a FF with a behavior plan in place. He's just trying to get out of class, you should know this because it's usually your class that he's trying to skip!
